Busha 3.0
When you're dealing with crypto finance in Africa, the primary barrier to user adoption isn't technical capability, it's trust. If an interface lags, flickers during a price refresh, or throws a cryptic error during an instant swap, a user assumes they've lost their money and they abandon the platform. As a frontend engineer at Busha, my job wasn't just to write UI components; it was to build a retail web application that felt as ironclad and familiar as an enterprise online banking app. I owned the interface execution for our core onboarding, wallet management, and live trading screens. Because crypto involves volatile market data and complex backend compliance engines, I engineered rigorous state validation and real-time UI loading and confirmation states. This ensured that whether a user was setting up a recurring buy or spending crypto on everyday utilities like airtime, the transaction felt instantaneous and clear. By taking dense financial mechanics and translating them into a flawless, localized, mobile-first interface, my work directly helped scale the platform to seamlessly handle over 1 million users and maintain trust across more than $3.5 billion in volume
